Footnotes

I've developed a base image for the footnotes, to create images for each snippet of information.

Anyway, here are some of the finished articles. (A vast amount of typing went into these)

Slight adjustment

A statement that begins the book as it means to go on.

It began with a map, which I edited to look like this. Took some of the frills off of it, simplified it.

The map had to be upside down to continue the theme of the book.

The finished (?) product.

Ah

This sort of thing already exists, I like it.

Quotes

I hope to display the quotes in a typographic poster/diagram type style.
Some research:

I particularly like this one, I think I should slot the Stornowat/whisky theme into the quotes and use that as a common base for each of the designs and images.

Update

Opps, haven't updated this in a while...

I made some bubbles to add a bit more depth to the liquid spill.
Also grid lines and numbers to give a more map-like effect. I placed them beneath the actual 'land' (whisky spill) to give more depth.

I added place names, realistic as well as invented to fit with the book. Such as a couple of character's houses.

Finally I added a few more details such church symbols as well as detailing the castle grounds.
